From the textile designs of the Roman Empire in the eastern Mediterranean and Egypt in the first centuries A.D. This naturalistic art, derived from Grecian models, extended from tapestry weaving to mosaic designs, celebrating the mythic as well as the everyday. The mushroom, and grey background is highlighted by design elements in hues of black, grey and verdigris. The charcoal and black border comes to life with accents of forest green, taupe, blush, champagne, and jade green wool. Rich highlights of lavender, lilac, ebony and platinum Chinese silk soften the overall mood. This piece has been crafted by hand in our true 100 knot quality.
